Description

U.S. Navy aircraft of Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 60 (CVSG-60) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Randolph (CVS-15). CVSG-60 was assigned to the Randolph for a deployment to the Atlantic Ocean an North-Western Europe from May to September 1966. The aircraft are (front to back):

  • a Sikorsky SH-3A Sea King from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 9 (HS-9) "Sea Griffins";
  • a Grumman S-2D Tracker (BuNo 148741) from Anti-Submarine Squadron 39 (VS-39) "Hoot Owls";
  • and a Grumman E-1B Tracer from Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 12 (VAW-12) Det.15 "Bats".
