| Description | Schematic separation nozzle used in aerodynamic uranium enrichment plants. In aerodynamic enrichment processes, a mixture of gaseous UF6and light gas (hydrogen or helium) is compressed and then passed through separating elements wherein isotopic separation is accomplished by the generation of high centrifugal forces over a curved-wall geometry. Full enrichment plants would have thousands of these tiny structures photoetched in foil and bound together. Created by User:Fastfission in Inkscape. |
