Deze prent maakte oorspronkelijk deel uit van liber nr. 22 van de Atlas van Rome, uit de collectie Hinloopen. In dit album waren een aantal prentreeksen naar bekende zeventiende eeuwse frescoseries bijeengebonden. In 1709 heeft Schijnvoet op last van de burgemeesters van Amsterdam de collectie herordend. De prenten uit liber 22 kwamen terrecht in Schijnvoet boek nr. 10. De laatst gedateerde reeks in het album is gedateerd 1691. Het album moet dus na deze datum gebonden zijn. De band is in de Rijksakademietijd uit elkaar gehaald. De marges van de prenten zijn bij het opbergen in het Rijksprentenkabinet vaak drastisch afgesneden.
