English: Five "Liebeslieder-Walzer op. 52“ by Johannes Brahms 2020 (Our favourites)

"By the way, I would like to risk being called a donkey if our ,Liebeslieder-Walzer´ do not bring joy to some people," Johannes Brahms stated about his 18 miniatures for four-hand piano and vocal soloists.

Listen to five of these love songs (op., 52), which are dedicated to the Viennese waltz, in a new edition of our series "Our Favourites“.

Singers are Natalie Buck, Nicole Hyde, Constance Gärtner, Kristina Häger, Irene Maas, Martina Metzler, Suzanne Fischer, Margarita Greiner, Seung Yeop Lee, Heiner Boßmeyer, Frank Wentzel, Tadeusz Milewski and Holger Gerberding, accompanied on 4 handed grand piano, played by Adelle Eslinger-Runnicles and Donald Runnicles.
