| Description |
English: Across the Tywi Valley at Nant-ystalwyn, Powys. The Abergwesyn-Tregaron mountain road can be seen climbing steeply up Cwm Gerwyn, having crossed the Afon Tywi at the bridge here: 1043593. The Tywi is at the base of the coniferous plantation, flowing from right to left towards Dolgoch Hostel and Llyn Brianne. There are signs of activity at this formerly abandoned farm at Nant-ystalwyn.
The track this side of the farm is the unsurfaced byway to Strata Florida, a former drovers' route, now still open to all vehicles, but not recommended for most! Cyclists can use it to join the Lon Las Cymru cycle route towards Moel Prysgau. |
