English: About 300 people honor eight caskets containing believed remains of U.S. war dead from the Korean War during a repatriation ceremony July 11, 2001, Yokota Air Base, Japan. A U.S. Army Central Identification Laboratory, Hawaii, (CILHI) search and recovery team, together with the North Korean Joint Peoples Army, recovered the remains from Unsan and Kujang counties, which is about 60 miles north of Pyongyang, North Korea. The remains were discovered in areas along the Chong Chon River where the 1st Cavalry Division, 25th Infantry Division, and 2nd Infantry Division fought the Chinese Army during the Korean War in November of 1950.
