English: Abermule railway station (site), Powys, 1979 Opened in 1860 by the Oswestry and Newtown Railway which soon became part of the Cambrian Railway empire, on the line from Shrewsbury to Machynlleth, this station closed in 1965. View south west towards Newtown and Machynlleth. It was the junction for the short branch to Kerry until 1956, which diverged to the left.
