Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Abbey of St Benet at Holm View towards the gatehouse from within the abbey church. The gatehouse has a drainage mill built within it, partially using the walls of the earlier building.
This abbey was not dissolved by Henry VIII. Instead it was amalgamated with the Bishopric of Norwich. The Bishop of Norwich is the Abbot of St Benet's. Once a year the bishop holds a service here, arriving at the abbey on the prow of a wherry. |
