Description

Hand tinted lithograph by Thomas Picken (b.1818) after William Ibbitt (1804-1869), titled Dale Abbey. The location is an area near what is now the southern suburb of Sheffield. The tower is Beauchief Abbey.

There is a little information about William Ibbitt (sometimes spelt Ibbett) here and here.
