Title
A post medieval copper alloy clothes clasp.
Description
English: A Post Medieval copper alloy single sharp-hooked clasp. The clasp has been moulded in one piece with moulded relief and openwork. There is a raised linear lozenge in the centre of the clasp, with two elongated angular knops at either side. Between the plate and the hook is a moulded swag. The rectangular attachment loop appears to have been miss cast, with evidence of casting spurs still visible. The clasp appears to have been, possible post depositionaly. The clasp is 26.5mm long, 14.9mm wide, 4.4mm thick and weighs 2.4grams. A similar example can be seen in Read (2008) page 103 number 398.
