Description
English: The white bead is a significant symbol in Igbo culture, and it is often used in traditional ceremonies and rituals. In Igbo cosmology, white represents peace, purity, and perfection. The white bead is also associated with wealth, abundance, and prosperity. In some communities, the white bead is also seen as a sign of protection from evil forces. The white bead is used in many traditional ceremonies, such as weddings, child naming ceremonies, and burial rites. It is also used to make jewelry and adorn traditional attire.
Igbo: Acha ọcha bụ akara pụtara ìhè n’omenala Igbo, a na-ejikarị ya eme mmemme na emume ọdịnala. N'ihe gbasara mbara igwe Igbo, ọcha na-anọchi anya udo, ịdị ọcha na izu oke. A na-ejikọta bead na-acha ọcha na akụ na ụba, ụbara, na ọganihu. N'obodo ụfọdụ, a na-ahụkwa bead ọcha dị ka ihe nchebe pụọ n'aka ndị agha ọjọọ. A na-eji bead na-acha ọcha eme ọtụtụ emume ọdịnala, dịka agbamakwụkwọ, mmemme ịkpọ aha ụmụaka na emume olili. A na-ejikwa ya eme ọla na ịchọ uwe ọdịnala.
