Noble spentThursday in Rome as the guests of Mr.and Mrs. Roy Berry. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Watkins areremodeling their home on Collegestreet. Miss Christine Smith, of England,who has been visiting her cousins. Dr.and Mrs. William Parker, left Satur-day for a visit to Mrs. W. H. Hall, inYalaba, Fla. The Fancy Dress Ball given at theCedartown Club rooms Friday eveningwas one of the most enjoyable of theseason. A number of pretty costumeswere worn and many visitors fromRome, Cartersville and Atlanta addedto the gaiety of the occasion. Mrs. Edgar Stubbs, of Atlanta, andMrs. Hal Bowie, of Rome, are expectedto arrive Tuesday and be the guestsof Mrs. A. W. Stubbs. Mrs. C. C. Bunn returned Fridayafter a few days visit to her mother,Mrs. Annie F. Johnson, in Rome. Mrs. H. H. Hogg, Mrs. John Black-well, Mrs. R. O. Pitts, Jr., returnedthe last of the week after a short visitto relatives in Rome. Mrs. O. D. Bartlett returned toRome last Sunday after a visit to herparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Fielder.

Mr. Lee is not a native Roman but he is a brother of Mrs.Charlie Hieht and has been such a frequent sojourner that his adoption is complete. Mr.Harris if a brother of Prof. J. C. Harris, and is a Roman by virtue of the fact that as a boyhe clerked several months at a grocery stone on Second Avenue.
