| Description | Far view of Cabin D, an erstwhile railway signalling cabin now relocated to the grounds of the Toronto Railway Museum. A picture of the signage for this cabin appeared just before this picture, which is self explanatory when viewed in full screen mode. Cabin D was an interlocking cabin built by the Grand Trunk Railway in the 1890s. It was one of the five towers numbered from A to D that controlled the signals and switches around Toronto Union Station. It was originally located on Bathurst St. in Toronto where several rail lines once converged. Cabin D was retured circa 1983 due to it's being in the way with additional lines for the GO Transit system which also saw the installation of more advanced sophisticated electronic signalling.
