A early Post-Medieval copper alloy hooked clasp - dress hook.
Description
English: A early Post-Medieval copper alloy hooked clasp - dress hook. The dress hook has a rectangular slot at one end and a hook at the other end with moulded openwork decoration in between. It is shield shaped in plan. The hook has a rectangular cross-section. The hook has a small transverse collar. It has a dark blackish patina and is in very good condition. This object can be classified as Class E, type 2 in Reed’s classification. A similar example is no. 313, p90, Reed, (2008).
