Summary[edit]

Description

Alexander Burnett Hector (1865-1958) demonstrating his colour-music instruments in Sydney.

English: "As the pianist played a tune, brackets of notes closed electric relays which switched various coloured lights on, illuminating a small scene. The inventor used certain combinations of coloured electric light bulbs to express certain bands of sound. The effect was quite interesting. There were no electronic aids to help the inventor." (Ted Hood, 11/10/1988)
