English: A day at the Aylsham Show - vintage cars. And funfair beyond. The Aylsham Show features a traditional blend of agriculture combined with family-friendly festivities. Starting off with the judging of cattle > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/937079 and sheep > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/937055 the day progresses with displays in the main ring > 937112 - 937116 and a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight > 937118 featuring Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster Bomber. There are many craft tents > 937040 and food stalls offering local produce, a fairground, vintage cars and tractors on display, a show jumping competition > 937095 and much more to explore.
The 62nd Aylsham Show a traditional one-day agricultural show, is held in the grounds of Blickling Park, a National Trust estate. It took place on August Bank Holiday Monday. With an average attendance of 15,000 visitors, it is considered to be the largest of its type in East Anglia and organisers were hoping to be able to match the £40,000 surplus income that was donated to local charities last year. |
