English: A day at the Aylsham Show - rosettes proudly displayed After last year's absence due to restrictions in context with an outbreak of Bluetongue disease (catarrhal fever), a great number of sheep, goat and cattle breeds were again presented at this year's show. The rosettes shown here have been awarded to the flock of pedigree Southdown sheep of Meens Farm at Halesworth.
The 62nd Aylsham Show is a traditional one-day agricultural show, held in the grounds of Blickling Park, a National Trust estate. It took place on August Bank Holiday Monday. With an average attendance of 15,000 visitors, it is considered to be the largest of its type in East Anglia and organisers were hoping to be able to match the £40,000 surplus income that was donated to local charities last year. |
