Description: On y a représenté la pêche de trois petits Poissons de la famille des Sardines, qui se prennent à la Guadeloupe. Fig. 1, un Pêcheur Nègre, qui tient un épervier tout prêt à le jetter sur le Poisson qu'il apperçoit. Fig. 2: elle représenté un petit Cailleu, fort bon petit Poisson qui a un goût très-approchant de celui de la Sardine, & qui est fort sain. La figure 3 représenté un petit Poisson, connu sous le nom de Cailleu tassart: ce petit Poisson est un peu plus gros que le petit Cailleu; mais sa chair n'a pas un goût aussi agréable: au reste il est sain. On l'a représenté allongeant son museau pour sucer ses aliments. La figure 4, qu'on nomme Sardine des Antilles, est le moins bon de tous; & même, quand on le pêche dans ceitains fonds, on le dit dangereux.
