Summary[edit]

Description One of the oldest remaining structures in the Wat Buppharam (also spelt Wat Bupparam or Wat Bo Pharam) is this chedi (pagoda) that was built more than four centuries ago in Burmese and Mon style. The white chedi with a golden spire is guarded by four Burmese style lions. The base of the chedi contains a Buddha image on all four sides. The large Buddha image contained in it is around three centuries old. There is less than an hour now to get to the airport, and there are still a couple of stops to make, and at any rate since I am not too much into temples anyway, I took this rather distant shot before I moved on. Indeed, compared to the sparkling wat overall, this chedi does look rather historic. (Chiang Mai, Thailand, Apr. 2014)
