Description
English: Benavides, Texas, native Chief Warrant Officer 3 Rolando Sanchez, an AH-64D Apache attack helicopter pilot for Company C, 1st "Attack" Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, has his Purple Heart pinned on by Las Vegas, Nev., native Lt. Col. Christopher Walach, commander of 1-227th, during a ceremony at Camp Taji, Iraq, June 28. Sanchez received his wounds while supporting ground forces during a fire fight, April 10.
