A Medieval copper alloy 'D' shaped buckle with intact pin and plate.
Description
English: A Medieval cast copper alloy single loop D-shaped buckle with a lipped frame and a narrowed and offset strap bar. The frame has a notched lip into which the pin sits. The pin and plate remain, the plate is secured with one rivet hole. c. 1350-1450 AD. The buckle is 24.2mm long, 16.7mm wide, 3.9mm thick and weighs 3.0 grams.
