| Description |
English: The Igbo masquerade dance known as Mmanwu or Mmo. It's a popular form of traditional dance in the Igbo culture, where dancers wear elaborate masks and costumes, and move to the rhythm of traditional music. The Mmanwu dance is usually performed at social gatherings and festivals, such as the New Yam Festival. It's a lively and colorful performance that combines dance, drama, and storytelling. The masquerade is believed to represent spirits and ancestors, and the dancers are said to be possessed by these spirits when they perform.
