Description
English: A Hura, or Native Dance, performed in presence of the Governor at Kairua. Engraved by J. McGhay after a sketch by William Ellis. Illustration from Missionary William Ellis' journal, from Ellis' tour through Hawaii from 1822 to 1823. This is from the second and third London edition published in 1826 and 1827 and later reprinted in 1917.
