Summary[edit]
DescriptionA Grand View of the Beach Volleyball - geograph.org.uk - 242106.jpg |
English: A Grand View of the Beach Volleyball. Originally the lower esplanade had a number of paddling pools and greens marking the boundary of the beach and the esplanade. These have now all gone being converted into basketball courts or open spaces. Here one has been turned into a Beach Volleyball court. In the background are the Kings Road Arches erected when Kings Road was built in the early 19th century on low lying cliffs. Above them is the Grand Hotel which is in square TQ3004, the border being somewhere along the main A259.
The ball is in play you will just have to look closely for it! |
