Description
English: Darul Uloom Deoband founded in 1866 is one of the largest institutions of Muslim theological education in the world. It attracts students from Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaya, Chines turkistan, Pakistan, South Africa and Egypt. The curriculum which is called "Dars-I-Nizamia" includes all the branch of Muslim Jurisprudence, law and interpretation of the Quran and the Hadeos. Vocational classes are also held and the students are trained in useful arts. The extensive buildings a this institution are spread over an area of nearly 10 square miles.
