| Description |
English: A Choice Of Routes This old milestone gives a choice of routes between Turnberry and Ayr. The shortest, at 16 miles, is the main A77 road through Maybole. The St Murray route uses the A719 as far as Pennyglen, then by-passes Maybole to reach the B7024 "high road" to Ayr. The Dunure coastal route follows the A719 all the way. Modern signposts don't attempt to give distances down to quarter miles. |
