Afrikaans: Die skink het geen kans gehad nie. Die witreier was vinnig en sekuur, en het toe die prooi soos 'n trofee in die snawel gehou en vir 'n minuut of twee vertoon, voor dit eindelik kop eerste ingesluk is. Een van die min skote op 'n wonderlike voëlkykplek, wat baie min aktiwiteit gehad het weens 'n groot gebeurtenis daar. Die opruiming het nog nie begin nie, en die besoek was dus teleurstellend. By voorbaat baie dankie vir julle sienings en terugvoer. Hoogs waardeer.
English: The Skink had no chance. The Egret was swift and quick, and then held the Skink in the mouth like a trophy and displayed for a minute or two and finally swallowed it head first. One of the few shots at a wonderful birding spot, that had very little activity due to a large event there. The clean-up has not commenced, so was a disappointing trip.
