Summary[edit]
| Description | A 'Toastrack' car at Crich Tramway Museum. Toastrack car No 166 is from Blackpool, and is one of a group built on the early twentieth century and intended particularly for use on Promenade and Circular Tour services. Displaced from these duties by the arrival of the twelve 'Boat' cars in the 1930s, the Toastracks were rarely seen again, most being scrapped. No. 166 (and sister car 165) survived as 'television cars' for ATV, before 166 was rescued and restored. |
