Deutsch: Im Jahre 799 schenkte der Edle Gaio dem Kloster Schlehdorf seinen Besitz im Dorfe >>Oparinhofe<<. Das Wappen erinnert an jenes von Schlehdorf und weist somit auf diese früheste Nennung von Oberhofen und sein außergewöhnliches Alter hin.
