Summary[edit]

Description
English: AN/PSS-14 Sweep Monitoring System (SMS). The sweep monitoring system (SMS) tracks the movement of handheld mine detector wands using an advanced video tracker to provide operator training and proficiency measurements independent of detector operation. The “target” for the tracker is a brightly colored collar that fits around the AN/PSS-14. The SMS tracker computes a location for the collar 30 times per second. Operator performance is displayed in real-time on a computer display. Additionally audio output is provided from a speaker directing the operator on speed and height of detector.
