Manfro is the name of the hill on which the fort at Pocquesoe was situated. From 1683 to 1717 it was the only Prussian fort in Ghana. In 1725 it fell to the WIC and was renamed Fort Hollandia. In view of the situation as depicted in the bottom print between Cabo Cors and Mouree, it is likely that 'Manfroe' refers to the Danish fort of Frederiksborg at Cabo Cors. Just like the Prussian fort at Pocquesoe, it was referred to by the name 'Koningsfort'.
