Description
Deutsch: Bildseite der Ansichtskarte, hier als echte Fotografie aus der Zeit um 1900,, vermutlich durch einen ungenannten Wanderfotografen. Zu sehen ist das Ladengeschäft unter der Überschrift "Hugo Hoppe Messerschmied u. Schleifer", darunter als "Fabrik-Marke" sowohl zwei gekreuzte (Schmiede-)Hämmer und eine Brille. Ganz rechts im Bild der Firmengründer, Hugo Hoppe I., Dritter von rechts ist Hugo Hoppe II., dazwischen eine Straßenlaterne mit dem Schild "Haltestelle der (hannoverschen) Straßenbahn". An der Fassade die Hinweise "Erste Werkstatt mit Kraftbetrieb. Hier im Hause" (vermutlich eine Dampfmaschine oder bereits ein elektrisch betriebenes Schwungrad) sowie "Erstes Spezial-Haus für Sohlinger Stahlwaren'. In den Schaufenstern sind neben den angekündigten und erwarteten Utensilien wie Messer und Scheren auch Spiegel zu sehen, Vorhängeschlösser, Kaffeemühlen, Lampen und - ganz wichtig für die zeitintensive und Schwerstarbeit gleichende Tätigkeit der seinerzeitigen Haus- und Waschfrauen - "Wringmaschinen" ...
