Description
Nederlands: Voor de kust van Cadzand ruimde de Explosieven Opruimingsdienst Defensie (EOD) samen met de Defensie Duikgroep 3 explosieven. Het ging om een zeemijn, een 500-ponds vliegtuigbom en een 250-ponds exemplaar. De explosieven werden aangetroffen bij een project om de kustlijn te versterken en een jachthaven bij Cadzand aan te leggen.

Door een koker om de explosieven te plaatsen, hadden de marineduikers minder last hadden van de sterke stroming op de Westerschelde. Een zuiger in de koker verwijderde bovendien de zandlaag boven de explosieven. Hierdoor konden de duikers een vernietigingslading aanbrengen.

Duikvaartuig Argus fungeerde bij de ruiming als logistiek en medisch platform.
