Description	A U.S. Navy Douglas A4D-2 Skyhawk (BuNo 142772) from Attack Squadron VA-106 Gladiators is positioned on the port catapult of the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La (CVA-38). VA-106 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 10 (CVG-10) aboard the Shangri-La for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 7 February to 28 August 1962.
