Towboat "City of Louisville" downbound. . Twin screw towboat "City of Louisville" (doc. # 287746, length 148 feet, breadth 34.5 feet, GM 16-567C-E2 diesels, 3200 hp.) Built in 1962 by Dravo Corp., Neville Island, PA. Originally "Mary B", owned by Rebel Towing Co., Houston, TX. Sold to Thomas Petroleum Transit, Butler, PA, in 1965. Renamed "Walter Curley" in 1966. Sold to TPT Div., Ashland Oil, Inc., Freedom, PA, and renamed "City of Louisville" in 1976. Sold to TPT Transportation Co., Freedom, PA, in 1993. Sold to Brent Transportation Corp., Greenville, MS, in 1995. Transferred to Kirby Inland Marine LP, Houston, TX, in 1998. Still operating in 2017. . Ohio River mile 605. Louisville, Kentucky. Feb. 12, 2001. file # a1b012. .
