Description
English: A British 17 pdr shelling the village of Gemmano near Rimini.
The enemy-held village of Gemmano had a commanding position overlooking allied lines of communication, and the Germans fought fiercely to hold this strongpoint. There was heavy shelling and counter-shelling around the village.
