Summary[edit]

Description

c/n 205 First flew on 27th October 1975 and delivered to Air France as their first production Concorde. InJanuary 1979 she was re-registered as F-N94FA to allow Braniff to operate services from Washington to Dallas Fort Worth. Both British and French Concordes were involved, with the ‘F-‘ (or ‘G-‘) being taped over when the aircraft reached Washington from Europe. Braniff crews would then operate the aircraft on US internal routes. This ended in January 1980 and she became F-BVFA again. In 1988 she flew around the world in what was then a record time of 41 hours 27 minutes. She was donated to the Smithsonian Institute by Air France in June 2003 and is seen on display at the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center as part of the National Air and Space Museum. Washington Dulles International Airport, Chantilly, Virginia 7th May 2015

Note:- Despite being preserved in a larger building than any other Concorde, she seems to also be one of the hardest to photograph!
