Name: Ashkelon Tomb of Sheikh Awad
Description: Breakwater mirror from the tomb of Sheikh Awad. According to Muslim belief, Sheikh Awad is buried there. The identity of the Sheikh is unknown, but there are various testimonies that he belonged to one of the most prominent families in Jerusalem. The building is part of a chain of holy sites built by the Mamluks (1260 - 1516) along the coasts of the country
