Description
  • Italiano: La cosiddetta Diàtreta Trivulzio, conservata presso il Museo Archeologico di Milano. Si tratta di una coppa antico-romana di vetro, rinchiusa in una rete di anelli di vetro. Si tratta dell'unico esemplare di questo tipo di oggetti giunto fino a noi senza alcuna rottura. Attorno al vaso corre la scritta, in lettere di vetro verde, "BIVE VIVAS MULTIS ANNIS": "Bevi (<vino>), e vivrai molti anni". Foto di Giovanni Dall'Orto, 13 marzo 2012.
  • English: The so-called Diàtreta Trivulzio, exhibited in the Archaeological Museum in Milan, Italy). This is a glass jug surrounded by a web of glass circles. This is the only specimen of this kind of objects which survived until the present completely intact. Around the surface runs the Latin inscription, in green glass letters, "BIVE VIVAS MULTIS ANNIS": "Drink (<wine>), and you will live for many years". Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, March 13 2012.
