A member of the preservation crew is standing on a red scaffold writing on a piece of wood that frames the porch roof. He has a tape measure in his hand and a drill sits on top of the wood he is writing on. Part of the ceiling roof is exposed as it is under construction. There is a black and white sign propped up again the wood of the roof ceiling that reads "Gettysburg NMP Warfield House Ceiling for front porch PEPC 85531 8-18-20 Smith."

Preservationists layout the locations for ceiling joists to be installed to support the porch roof overhang.
