NS (the Norwegian Fascist party) held a total of seven party congresses in the 30s, but during the period 1940-1945 there was just one national meeting, the 8th national meeting in Oslo on September 26th and 27th 1942. An estimated 10,000 participants from across the country gathered in the capital for this party meeting. The extensive program included the major parades in which both labor service, women, SS, NSUF, and young party members paraded. There was a large memorial ceremony for the fallen in the Vigeland Park. The closing ceremony took place at Bislett Stadium.
