Description

635th Military Intelligence Battalion Coat of Arms

Description/Blazon Shield Argent, a wreath of dogwood in blossom Proper superimposed by a sphere Azure (Oriental Blue) with latitude lines of the first, overall the head of an Indian scout couped Proper. Crest That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Missouri Army National Guard: From a wreath Argent and Azure (Oriental Blue), a grizzly bear rampant Proper. Motto SEE, HEED, FATHOM.

Symbolism Shield Oriental blue is the primary color associated with Military Intelligence units. The Indian scout personifies the spirit of the motto "SEE, HEED, FATHOM," emphasizing the skills required to assess and locate enemy forces. The lightning bolt represents electronic warfare and signal intelligence. The globe symbolizes worldwide capabilities. The dogwood wreath is a reference to Missouri, the "Show Me State." Red denotes courage and sacrifice. Crest The crest is that of the Missouri Army National Guard.

Background The coat of arms was approved on 27 January 1997.
