Crest That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve: On a wreath of the colors Argent and Azure, the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The statue of the Minute Man, Captain John Parker (H.H.Kitson, sculptor), stands of the Common in Lexington, Massachusetts. Motto MODERN WARFARE. Symbolism Shield The global aspect of the mission performed by the Military Intelligence branch is represented by the longitude and latitude lines of the world. The lightning flash is symbolic of the electronic warfare nature of Military Intelligence. The sword represents the aggressive nature and dangerous missions accomplished by Military Intelligence personnel. The border suggests containment and alludes to intelligence gathering and its use in defense strategy. Crest The crest is that of the United States Army Reserve. Background The coat of arms was approved on 27 January 1987. It was amended to include the blazon of the crest on 1 August 1990. See Here |
