Description Lt. Gen. Thomas P. Bostick, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers commanding general, meets with students and faculty May 14 at Patch High School in Stuttgart, Germany, as part of his European tour. The 53rd chief of engineers discussed the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, with students in an Advanced Placement biology class and later gave a pep talk to cadets in the school’s Army JROTC unit. He was interviewed by students in a television and radio production class, who broadcast it via internal school channels. Bostick also sat down with AFN Stuttgart to talk about the USACE mission, warfighter support and ways in which communities benefit from Army STEM innovations.
