Description
English: Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Greenert, comforts a family member of a fallen explosive ordnance disposal technician at the 44th annual EOD memorial ceremony, May 4, 2013. The ceremony, which took place across from the Kauffman EOD Training Complex, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, honored explosive ordnance disposal technicians who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country in performance of EOD missions. NAVSCOLEOD, located on Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., provides high-risk, specialized, basic and advanced EOD training to over 2,100 U.S. and partner nation military and selected U.S. government personnel each year.
