Summary[edit]

Description
English: The retired R30A subway car No. 8394, inside a shop (120 West 42nd Street) on the south side of 42nd Street west of 6th Avenue and Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan. Currently it is signed as a J train (front) and R train (side). It has a very interesting history; according to the adjacent display card, it was found in the Mojave Desert after being used as a movie prop. It also states it was restored to its "original glory", if glory means the decay of the 1970s.
