English: This image was taken by British Columbia government surveyor Frank Swannell in 1901 at 40 Mile, which is a locality in the area of French Bar Creek where it meets the en:Fraser River, at that distance up the en:River Trail from Lillooet, looking northwards up the river towards Big Bar. The mountain in the centre-background is en:Big Bar Mountain, near Kostering.
