Summary[edit]

Description 330-PSA-205-60 (USN 710797: Two U.S. Navy Ships Transferred to Equador. A lease transferring two U.S. Navy ships to Ecuador was signed by Dr. Enrique Sanchez Barona, Minister of the Equadorian Embassy (second from right) and Rear Admiral Harold M. Briggs, USN, Director of PAN American affairs, right. The two ships are fleet tug (ATF 155) and floating dry dock (ARD 24). The lease agreement makes them available to the Equadorian Navy for five years. Witnessing the ceremony are Commander Philip D. Johnson, USN, (left) of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, and Commander Gustavo Moncato, Assistant Naval Attache to the Embassy of Equador in Washington, September 19, 1960. (9/9/2015).
