Summary[edit]

Description 330-PS-2612 (USN 708569): French Navy Chief Visits the Pentagon. The French Navy Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Henri Momy is greeted by Admiral William M. Fechteler, USN, Chief of Naval Operations, at the Pentagon. Admiral Momy is in the country to return the recent call made on him in Paris by the Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic, Admiral Lynde D. McCormick, and to discuss naval maters of mutual interest. While here, he will attend the ceremonies at the U.S. Naval Shipyard, New York, incidental to the transfer of the destroyer escorts USS Evans and USS Baker to the French government under the Mutual Defense Assistance Program. Also, he will visit the Naval Training Command, Pensacola, Florida, to observe French officers in training. Photograph released March 25, 1952. (5/19/2015).
