Title
English: 2nd Ave. at night covered with snow., Seattle, 1916
The Clemmer Theatre (1414 Second Avenue) was almost certainly the first theater in the United States primarily constructed to show motion pictures. It was being the Columbia Theatre in 1922. The building, however, was still standing in 1982 and housed the Snug Restaurant. What is believed to be a remnant of the building, incorporated into a multi-story parking garage, is still standing in 2019; in the last few decades it has held a series of restaurants: the Snug, Spice Orient, and (as of 2019) Hot as Pho.
